Watching the Zeitgeist cult people try to push their resource-based communism has been really entertaining. They's hard-core sock puppet users, and they use the sock puppets to vote up their own stuff to push dissent to the bottoms of the threads. Who needs fiction when stuff like this really happens...
People shoot off all manner of crazy notions on here, a good part of which fail the credibility test. So...Got proof?
Not "proof", but do you really think that 18 real people voted this post up? Or does that look a little more like one or two real people posting under 18 different sock puppets?
(I also have my doubts that a professional economist wrote that, or that the guy further down who claims to be an aerospace engineer is that.)
Good point.
And this, "(I also have my doubts that a professional economist wrote that, or that the guy further down who claims to be an aerospace engineer is that.)" is a really good point. I'm doubting their supposed credentials myself; they're not citing accurate sources to back their claims on the subject.
I happen to like Zeitgeist.
Sock puppets are kinda cool too.
But not those creepy sock monkey things.
Hey! This is a children's site! Don't go waving your "Sock Puppets" around here!
My two cents on Zeitgeist:
The first movie was a home run. It truly captures the Zeitgeist of the times.
The second movie was extremely informative about the monetary system.
The third movie is an engaging idea.
But it is only a suggestion ... and I think it ought to be weighed on its merits by the People as all things seem to be in OWS.
I'm certain the future won't be limited to one idea.
