The Dow Jones industrial average climbed 163 points, or 1.4 percent, to 11,579 at 1:55 p.m. The Standard & Poor’s 500 increased 1.7 percent to 1,216. Stocks have posted solid gains since touching bottom Oct. 3, rallying more than 1,000 points on the Dow.
Not sure what that means
The OWS is not affecting the stock market. If anything, the demand for more regulation and a demise of said stock markets would probably have people panicking and removing their investments (driving the price down). There are too many variables, but I don't suspect OWS has as much influence on the stock market as you hope it does.
So...does the stock market mean that people are eating, have jobs, or does it mean that trading amongst the good ole boys club is "as good as it ever was" and that Corporate America could care less about the 99%?
Actually, the problem with this is the fact that Wall Street is just that, the Street where lives, governments, lobbyists and the good ole boys keep control of everything. It puts up a Wall of illusion where people actually believe that if it fails, so do their lives and the world.
How did people exist before Wall Street was created and who created it? Now, how are people going to exist after Wall Street totally collapses due to its relationship with all other world economies?
If the 1% believe it won't, then these 1% have no reason to worry about this Movement, now do they?
Do you actually believe you have an effect?
