Hi, I’m Owen, and I’m looking for good lawyers and accountants with experience setting up and running nonprofit organizations. My fellow canvassers and I are starting a non-profit canvassing and fundraising organization to raise money for, and to spread public awareness of the Occupy Wall St. movement. Both of us are highly skilled and experienced canvassers. We’ve individually raised thousands of dollars in the past three months alone for organizations like Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign, Oxfam America, and the ACLU. I believe we can make a big impact on the Occupy Wall St. movement by getting the protesters what they need in order to occupy Wall St. indefinitely. Protestors have made clear on their website occupywallst.org that what they need is donations to pay for warm clothes, shelter, food, and medicine, especially as winter approaches, so that’s what we’ll get them.

The best way you can help turn this business plan into a concrete reality and to help this movement is to help us get legally registered as a nonprofit. However, I’m sorry to say that our startup capital is limited as of now. But if you believe that corporations have too much control over our government, if you believe that President Obama should pass a new stimulus package to reduce unemployment and get Americans working again, if you believe that multinational corporations and the super-rich wealthiest 1% of Americans should pay their fair share in taxes, if you believe that it's not the big banks that need a bailout but the American people, then our cause is your cause. I am appealing to your desire for the greater good, your patriotism, and your common sense. Please, donate an hour of your time at your convenience to help us get set up as a legally registered nonprofit organization so we can keep Occupy Wall St. going long enough for it to give birth to national movement for social justice of unprecedented scale and power.

If you’re interested in making a difference, please contact us at 503-459-6391, or email us at owensanders@gmail.com. Thank you for your time!

Sincerely, Owen Sanders and The People’s Canvassers team.
