NYPD arrested people for wearing the white masks; this would give them fits.

Really? Thats so sick, So it's illegal to protect yourself from getting pepper sprayed or tear gassed in the face?

In NYC, it is illegal to wear any mask if the police don't like you. They of course do not arrest Halloween masked children or masquerade ball participants. But they did arrest people for wearing the Guy Fawkes masks.

That's so sick.

It would still be a mask. It would still be illegal. While there are lots of good cops, some of them have no sense of humor. Or balance.

If that law exists then it could be easily fought, everyone has the right to protect themselves. Just like if your struck you have the right to strike back in retaliation to protect yourself.
