The Wall Street Occupation has grown. It has inspired many other occupations around the country and around the world. The whole world is watching, and most are supporting. It is in the best interest of 99 percent of us to support a more equitable distribution of wealth and power. The Occupation continues to spread awareness and empower people. There is an alternative to the ongoing theft of quality of life from 99% of the people to feed the insatiable appetites of the greedy 1% who control corporations and empires. The Occupation is an historic success. Yet the elites continue to conduct business as usual. A General Strike can change that. A General Strike shows that workers, united, are powerful, and capable of bringing business as usual to a halt to effect change. A General Strike occurs when workers refuse to participate in a system that is taking so much from them and giving back so little. A General Strike is the next step to achieving economic justice, liberty and democracy for all.
