Underemployed, overqualified, not employed. These days if you get lucky and find a job, its because you know someone. Those that have jobs today got them from contacts. In a recent poll it was discovered that 95% of all jobs today are acquired by who you know. Not by skill, not by education, but by who you know. Sad really when we are paying thousands upon thousands for pieces of paper and information we forgot 6 days after we left the institution which gave us the piece of paper.
I know PHD's, Masters, and many BA.. MBA's.. all out of work. Over qualified many with years of experience. Some found friends in Walmart or flipping burgers. Most have given up, killed themselves, or decided to fight here.
I am one of the ones that continue to fight. I have my ups and down's but I fight none the less. My dream is to not have to go to a job because of money, because its a passion.. A desire to learn and expand my mind.
Most people these days that glorify themselves on here, or raging troll state they went to collage and got a job. Did they go to collage and choose what they wanted to really study? Probably not, some maybe. Infact they choose the quickest route and left without opening their minds or even exploring the world around them. Others, they simply knew someone and went from there.
I want my education and experience to mean something. I want to work and not have to fear that I cannot eat tomorrow because I have to pay for the things which should be free. Water, energy, medicine, food...
We are controlled and we are forced into a world where if the job doesnt kill us, the stress of life will. Yes, we can say its better here than other parts of the world.. As a scientist, as a anthropologist that has traveled the world.. I can tell you the answer is no. Those tribals have more freedom and a love of life than any one of us today.
We can all it primitive or backwards.. To them its freedom, to them its a good life. Here, we fight and bicker over pieces of paper and little round disks with faces on them. Who is more primitive? A people who only know bartering, who's medicine is meant to cure, not force the patent to come back for more and more..
So in the end id rather enjoy life, live without money or the need of it. I will happily work and do my share. I refuse to be a slave anymore to these bastards called corporations and governments.
I have worked hard my entire life. I have bled for the dollar, I have killed for my dollar. I have dug my own grave for the dollar. Sadly until I am free from the dollar I have no choice but to continue to suffer for the dollar. One day I will be free of it. Its because of the people who are in the streets today. Even if half of America is blind to the cause.. I am not. I know, my future children will know. Either way, one day I will be free.. when that happens I will thank all of you ahead of time.
Change is inevitable, growth is optional
