Let's ban #fracking and make it a crime in New York State so that other fracked states can build on New York's success. Fracking is the ultimate usurpation of the rights of people, of communities, and of nature. It poisons our water, air, croplands. It pits struggling people (farmers and other landholders with limited means who think they'll get rich from leasing their land, and are desperate in a society that holds out little hope for them, with no health care, no way to pay for their kids' education, no prospects for a secure retirement) against those who may also be struggling but who recognize the threat posed by Big Gas Big Oil and related industries (and the multitudinous politiicians and "regulators" in their pockets). It is time to give nature rights and to protect the health and environment of us all! Fracking is a Crime! Frack Wall Street Criminals! Don't Frack Us! No Fracking Way! No Fracking Way!
Have you seen what they are trying to do to the Delaware River water shed?
For about the past three years the people in the Delaware River Water Shed area have been able to maintain a moratorium on fracking.
On October 20th of this year, (3 Days from now), that could change and over 300 fracking drilling sites could start going into production.
If you care about one of Americas most historic and pristine watersheds place take some time, make a few phone calls and forward this to all your contacts.
The links below explain what could happen and what you can do to help.
