they just reported this morning it is the intention of police chiefs in numerous cities across America to use the same heavy-handed tactics as they did in Oakland. Come on people how long are you all going to sit back and not call out members of the Obama administration to support YOU ?!!!! why was it okay to give guns and ammunition to the Libyan rebels in the name of democracy and freedom and yet the White House does nothing to protect its own citizens who are peacefully protesting?
the outcome in oakland seems to bear the point. oakland got tuff. and then it won the battle and lost the war, ceding the park to the occupy.
ANY crackdown of ANY sort will only prove that the government is evil and that our rights are not respected and don't exist.
For every person they put in jail there is a network of people that effects- 6 or 7 degrees of separation later, that means that every jailed victim represents 10 more people who will rise to take their place.
So long as the protesters remain themselves non violent, anything the pigs do to them only digs the pit deeper, and only alrerts more people to the fact of government corruption and government colluding with corporations to silent dissent.
EVERY move they make against us only makes the movement stronger.
and in fact in game theory, or, in analysis from game theory, the ONLY smart thing to do is IGNORE the occupies until they die down. Confronting the occupies only FEEDS the collective angst and frustration.

But all such tricks wil lfail because critical mass has been achieved. It will grow exponentially, esp as soon as it gets lucid and gets its head out of its ass for dealing solidly with the issues.
I think they're starting to get a clue that the boots on the street are just the tip of the iceberg.
We need to be on the look out for any legislation to restrict the web, they're going to try to slip stuff under our noses.....
I don't know if they can do anything though or if it's too late. I been saying for a while that if the powers that be weren't so busy enjoying the fruits of the people's labor and actually spent a day poking around online they'd shut the internet off tomorrow. It's doubly true now. Stupidest thing the 1%'s ever did though was not pay all the geeks off, a lot of them are on our side.
it would ultimately prove to be yet again a problem of sheer numbers. 1000 fed agents could shut the internet down for a few months but millions of minds will be working the problem; ultimately they can't long term compete with the sheer man power difference. As we become aware of other ways they lie and manipulate us trying to control the internet more really only escalates in a direction they can't afford for us to go nuclear.
As it is, somehow they manage to excuse hacking my computer and wiping away information, lying to the public and assorted fraud and etc. the more of this they do they more obvious it is and the more transparent the game becomes. I'm not a hacker or a techie but lets get serious. If the feds cracked down on the internet they are facing a giant think tank that moves eventually around that in evolutionary ways. there are multiple proofs of this all the way up to things like pirate bay. Extra ordinary efforts are in fact made to censor and control and manipulate the internet. Every move they make is recorded in the collective unconscious, at some level all lies are transparent to all of us subliminally. Thus every such move that is made creates very quick turnaround karma. I'd beta anonymous against the feds in a hacking war any day.

Fox news is an oxymoron. Anyone who regularly watches multiple new stations knows they are not doing any real journalism. The whole purpose of their existence is to help the special interest maintain their hold on power (MSNBC is the same thing - propaganda and spin). If America would actually wake up to the fact that our democracy has been taken over by a corporate neo-feudalism, the cops WOULD all band together to arrest the true crooks.

While I believe Fox News works overtime to completely discredit this movement, I also sense fear. Power to the People!
However, I don't want to see anymore episodes like what happened to the Occupy Oakland protestors. If more and more of these episodes happen. Then I must come to the conclusion that we are in a police state.
BTW, the critics of the movement keep saying over and over again that the think that we , OWS protestors and supporters, will start getting violent. They keep saying that violence will come out of all this protesting. Why do they say that?
