This article says it all. Most people don't expect the government to take away the banks' or the corporations' right to earn money. Most people don't even desire anything like profit margin caps or a general redistribution of wealth.
It's about the fact that hundreds of people displayed recklessly irresponsible behavior and were not held accountable, despite the fact that their behavior yielded dire consequences for millions of people. Even worse, they were rewarded for it.
All we want are the same rules that apply to every ordinary U.S. Citizen to apply to the financial elite.
