This is just a thought but shouldn't there be protesting done at federal and state government buildings as well or even in place of wall street for that matter. A lot of the problems have been spawned from government decisions and not so much businesses. I mean making this a country where businesses thrive is going to pull us out of this mess and isn't the government over spending and not creating either incentive for jobs to be brought to the US (in fact giving tax help to companies taking jobs overseas) nor trying to create new jobs through new resources or projects. Just some food for thought.
You are right. Protests should take place at both venues. After all, Wall Street took advantage of what the government was willing to give them for the money they put in their campaign coffers. Wall Street saw the door open and seized the opportunity that corrupt elected officials gave them. The politicians betrayed the people they were supposed to represent while Wall Street capitalized on the misfortunes of honest investors and taxpayers. It was and still is an inside job with colossal implications. This is the sick symbiotic relationship that exists today. Both Washington and Wall Street are deserving targets of the people's wrath.
Yeah but now the politicians that have screwed it all up with to begin with are throwing the the businesses to the wolves when they are at fault just as much if not more. If a person offers someone $100 and they take it why are they the bad guy? Shouldn't the person giving away the money in the first place (considering it wasn't that person's money to begin with) be the party receiving the wrath of the citizens (since it was our money). We aren't over $14 trillion dollars in debt over businesses, we're that much in debt because the US government decided to bail out businesses, pay for a 10 year long war, and give tax breaks to businesses taking jobs over seas. Take the job from the people takes the money away from the people, which means they can't pay for goods, which hurts businesses, who cuts jobs. Its a cycle that no one has figured out yet.
I cannot argue with anything you said. The root of the problem is definitely in Washington. The politicians are ones that betrayed our trust when we elected them to office. They sold us out.
