FIFA World Cup gets red-carded by John Oliver for the death, slavery, and bribery things.

Those who downplay all things rethuglican will no doubt agree.

Are those ground deployed - dispersed fuel bombs? I know the USA MIC has been experimenting with air-borne dispersed fuel bombs since way back during the Vietnam war - they pack quite a devastating shock-wave.

Do Not know, but it looks bad.

I have seen that before. What it looks like to me - IS - where fuel is dispersed into a large cloud and then is ignited. It is supposed to be very devastating and is very low tech.

Hoping it was fuel-air or thermite, rather than nuke. We need to know.

The fuel dispersal bomb can be in a localized spot just as devastating as a small nuclear explosion - the saving grace ( if there is such a thing ) is that there is no nuclear fall-out and centuries of contamination to go along with it.

We need to know.

We need to end USA participation in and fueling of "endless warfare".

Getting the world to abandon fossil fuel would be one very large step forward - towards world peace.

Agree.

Heavens to Betsy ....have we been occupying the wrong cause? In all seriousness the irony of the media and congressional coverage and outrage over SoccerGate / Soccer Fraud was laughable in comparison to the actions of most of our gov and their corporate partners.

Cmon-now - fifa scandal so very serious and important to world health peace and prosperity. Otherwise it would not be so totally covered and have USA legal authorities pursuing it so thoroughly.

There is just this crazy disconnect going on in society now...Americans especially do things in their everyday lives that ignore or directly causes cruelty to people and animals...under the surface they know it but if they start to peel that rotten little onion a little further they know it would be unconscionable not to stop their own behavior or to ignore it so they try to close it up as best as possible and pretend they don't smell it...then they go on doing those same things every day...http://www.mccruelty.com/why.aspx

It is the disconnect of - this is my life - and that ( misery) has nothing to do with me - so don't bother me with it. Bring on the beer commercials with all of the pretty people having a wonderful time doing nothing. Lord love a self-involved population.

Yes and we are the assholes somehow because we have decided not to put our own stamp on it and choose not to perpetuate that which we won't pretend doesn't exist...and yet if I disregard God...they wonder why I could be so blind. And they label us dysfunctional malcontents instead of those living in the world as it is and seeing it for what it is instead of the little fantasy land they have drummed up in their imaginary matchbox playset. They see awesome chain eateries while I see the backend functions those signs to me are basic advertisements for cruelty pollution and a new system of control being instituted by corporate power. I view them as enemy markers conquering our lands and government. There is a great social stigma in that. It is impossible almost to maintain opposition while still maintaining social interaction with those who don't want to see it. Even if I'm quiet they can sense my discomfort. Even that is too much...it seems if we are not great enthusiasts for this sham system...we will be silenced...before we ever speak of that discontent. The it could be worse propaganda has done its job...now flash to another story of a cancer survivor or kid in a wheelchair who has it worse than you and overcame all odds on msm.

How many people actually realize - that - household products - including personal care products - contain cancer causing agents? How many people know that factory farm produced meats - contain cancer causing agents? How many people know that the stuff that they flush down the toilet ends up polluting their fresh water sources?

No - "we" are NOT the assholes - though that is what the 1% "DO" promote.

The tables must be turned - and the population must be awoken to do so.

Both parties promote the interests of the 1% first and foremost.

Sure - keep telling yourself that - and whatever else that you need to - to be able to sleep at night.

Sports and golf, games and circuses, distractions and wastes of resources, imo. But they are sooooooo popular, keep the crowd distracted, a very old trick of the wealthy.

Much to distract us these days. We are not United, very often anymore, exept we must have our precious sports spectacles.

We could have guessed there would be scandal,,,,,,it's sports

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Damn anyone who would mess with our rights to "reality diverting entertainment". That is sooooooo much worse than crimes against humanity in killing civilians - it is a crime against humanity trying to avoid dealing with reality.
