The standard model for corporations in this country is a funnel that moves money from the masses into the hands of a few shareholders or private owners in the form of profits. Cooperatives function like corporations, except that those profits go back to the customers or the workers -- you & me, instead of the 1%. If you want the 99% to have more economic control, purchase from cooperatives whenever you can. Cut the "standard" corporations out of the loop. Cooperatives serve the people.
