THE MMT WAY TO JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY (in the spirit of contributing ideas to the OWS friends)
IF THIS IS YOU: Jobless – Foreclosed – No Health Insurance – Poor Schooling – Measly Pension Then bashing some big banks will not give you a Job, a House, Healthcare, good Education, a living Pension.
IF THIS IS YOU: A taxpayer – A lover of Justice – A believer in real Democracy Then Wall St. in jail alone will not give you a functioning Democracy and Rights.
IF YOU WANT SOCIAL JUSTICE & DEMOCRACY YOU NEED
THE MONEY & THE LAWS TO CARE FOR THE 99%
THE MONEY: The Modern Money Theory (MMT) school of economics demonstrated that the US could spend Universal Healthcare & Education, Full Housing and Full Social Security into existence. More: Full Employment is also possible thru a Job Guarantee Program, namely the government ‘buys’ the work of any jobless American at a Living Wage, setting a better national living standard for all. Worried about big debt? After WWII America ran 25% deficits, and we became the richest State on earth. Lack of means for the 99% has always been a policy decision, never a debt problem. This is real, ask the MMT scholars for details and teach-ins at http://neweconomicperspectives.blogspot.com/
THE LAWS: Tell your Representative that as from today your vote is conditional to MMT as people-empowering economic policy and to passing laws regulating the Wall St. elites, or he/she can forget it.
PEOPLE-EMPOWERING ECONOMICS & LAWS WILL GIVE US DEMOCRACY BACK, AND THEN WALL ST. IN JAIL. NOT VICE VERSA.
