Perhaps void the current Federal Reserve dollar. New Zealand replaced their currency.* Replace the fiat money that was created out of thin air with new government money not used by the Federal Reserve Banking System. JFK started issuing US dollars shortly before he was murdered. The 1% may have billions in banks here and offshore for “their security” but it could be mostly worthless if a “real” economy arises out of the Wall Street ashes. Perhaps limit the 1% redemption of x new dollars for the old green back dollar. Once other world currencies realize the green back dollar is turning sour, the 1% will have no place to take their fiat dollar. Let Wall Street go out and get a real job. This is only a seed idea but isn’t it worthy of discussion?
- In 1967 New Zealand adopted decimal Pounds, shillings and pence were replaced with dollars and cents − 27 million new banknotes and 165 million new coins, to be precise. In 1963 the government decided to ‘decimalise’. Imperial currency was relatively complex: pounds were divided into 20 shillings and 240 pence, with 12 pence to the shilling. People had got used to doing the fractions, but it was complicated. The system of 100 cents to the dollar was simpler and ‘Decimal Currency’ (DC) day was set for 10 July 1967. http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/nz-adopts-decimal-currency
What about people with real jobs who invest their money for retirement. There are a lot of retirement age Americans out there.
I'm talking about the extractors that are hoarding and sucking the money away from the 99%....I'm NOT talking about the 99%'s retirement investments and income they actually worked and planed for.
Australia did the same, the USA has done the same 3 times, Germans did, most nations change their currency as the government gets caught out
Yes, it has been done many times. A fresh new start. Let the 1% get stuck with the money that is only worth the paper it's printed on.
Recent example, Germany, riechmark to Deutschmark. The downside is it took an overbearing leader to do it. Hitler. Changing the currency ,ought be the only way. Judging from the sentiment of the people, they don't want a gold standard again. They don't understand their history, so unfortunately are doomed to repeat it.
