Congress actually is in agreement on this one. Both sides agree that they want a piece of internet sales!! They want more of your money.

In ways I see the benefits of taxing online sales because of the risks online sales have against walk-in businesses that have to charge sales tax.

I think sales tax is bullshit anyway. It's just a way to push taxes on the middle class spending the little money they have instead of increasing taxes in other justified areas like the RICH

Yes, I see the first part too, but the underlying issue you stated in the second part is the real key.

It's crazy how they push angles like that to garner support. They'll ride that "fairness" train all the way to the bank of war profiteers and prison owners. In reality the fairness would be to end all sales taxes. They already tax our money before we even have a chance to spend it. The government is out of control and spending our money recklessly on war and giving it to Wall Street. The tax policies of this government need to be re-prioritized. Capital gains tax increases for one example.

If they want to push "fair" why won't they talk about Wall Street transactions.

We're going to see a lot of new taxes under this administration, with far to less to show for it.

Doesn't matter. Half the polulation doen't pay federal taxes. They don't care.
