When the fools try to shout you down and label you as a communist or socialist or whatever, point out to them that what they are advocating for is not freedom or democracy or even republicanism. It is actually a new form of feudalism. Wake people up! Call it what it is.

Feudalism was a set of legal and military customs in medieval Europe that flourished between the 9th and 15th centuries, which, broadly defined, was a system for structuring society around relationships derived from the holding of land in exchange for service or labour.

There is also a broader definition that includes not only warrior nobility but all three estates of the realm: the nobility, the clerics, and the peasantry bonds of manorialism; this is sometimes referred to as a "feudal society".

A return to feudalism is such a huge leap backwards, such a fall from grace. Though there has been a noteworthy nostalgia for gothic culture, is the United States willing to give up automobiles, central heating, air conditioning, modern appliances, modern medicine and dentistry and incandescent illumination to live in Camelot, and work at a local Renaissance Fair that’s open year round? Or is the brief moment in technological brilliance ending due to the collapse of capitalism as civilization declines into a new dark age?

You are right, so why let them control you. Instead of taking to the streets hit them where it really hurts don't use credit cards, don't buy on credit, live within your means. You will have a more enjoyable simpler life without all of the trappings of materialism.

Get involved in local politics serve in your community don't expect those who have more than you to give up what they have earned because you think it unfair. Buy from local businesses, build your community, encourage others to do the same. Work to support yourself and your family without forgetting the poor and their needs donate to take care of local people.

Grow-up to be a responsible person living your convictions as an example to rest of the world and don't point out your neighbors short-comings so much that you miss your own.

Yes, we're currently in a sort of neo-feudalism, not neo-liberalism which seems to be a hot button around here. There are few people in power that control both government and the major private interests (otherwise known as fascism) and it's been that way since the turn of the century, the last one! Get business out of the business of government and government out of the business of business (let bad business fail - all the banks - none of them would exist right now if it wasn't for .gov).
