First it was monkeys. Now it's cats.
Someone tell me why these people make so much money and are considered SO much better than actual working men and women?
I always said most of what WallStreet does could be better and more cheaply handled by computer.
Cat's are easier to upgrade....................:)
Just get them another bag of yummies.
First... you should Understand i , and thousands of others are trying to get a Privately owned Goldman Sachs Program to the NYSE Outta there! .. Or at the very least REGULATED.. i have too much on this subject.. and too little time. Worked for 24 years to fight Collusion by the Wall Street Bullies.

Yes, I'm aware of their high echelon "trading" program.
I've often wondered if the floor traders aren't there mostly for show.
Keep in mind what this feline trader reality really points out.
With the "program" in play, it's all those floor traders that could be replaced by cats.
Keep in mind as well, that the rest of the big banking/brokerage firms around the World will be utilizing some variation of that software by now.
Welcome to libe(R)topia.
It boils down to 'Derivatives' .. the 'Funny New Math'
I know.
The REAL economic elephant in the room that's still being ignored.
I can recall reading about the layed off, or unhired in their field physicists, that wrote the math, if not the program.
Dangerous they called it, and it's still running.
Chock Full of smoke and mirrors and marshmallow surprises ( um wait a sec on that last one - NASTY - I Meant Nasty surprises ).
Shooz n DKA.. you both have it dead on right!
Thx ( from the choir ) - thx for participating and adding your voice/knowledge.
a) "Money and Speed : Inside the Black Box" :
A thriller based on actual events that takes you to the heart of our automated world. Based on interviews with those directly involved and data visualizations up to the millisecond, it reconstructs the flash crash of May 6th 2010: the fastest and deepest U.S. stock market plunge ever. "Money and Speed : Inside the Black Box", is developed by filmmaker Marije Meerman in close collaboration with design studio Catalogtree. This exploratory documentary is a marriage of strong storytelling and meticulous visual analysis. A rare opportunity to experience what is happening inside the black boxes of our rapidly evolving financial markets.
b) "Quants : The Alchemists of Wall Street" :
Quants are the math wizards and computer programmers in the engine room of our globalised financial system who designed the financial products that almost crashed Wall St. The credit crunch has shown how the global financial system has become increasingly dependent on mathematical models trying to quantify human (economic) behaviour. Now these Quants are at the heart of yet another technological revolution in finance: trading at the speed of light. What are the real risks of treating the economy & its markets as a complex machine? Will we be able to keep control of this model-based financial system, or have we created a monster? A story about greed, fear and randomness from inside Wall Street.
c) "Catastroika" :
The creators of "Debtocracy" analyze the shifting of state assets to private hands. They travel around the world gathering data on privatization in developed countries and search for clues on the day after Greece’s massive privatization program. The documentary uncovers the forthcoming dark results of the current sell-off of the Greek public assets, demanded in order to face the country’s huge sovereign debt.

radix omnium malorum est cupiditas ...
The Cure for nearly 75% of what Ails Society is the Cure for Greed.
...
Some Day... Some How.. ... It will happen.
Absolutely - GREED is at the heart of all of the ills of the world - not just the USA - WORLD.
People please think about this fact. Discuss with anyone who will - discuss.
Cats are easier to upgrade. That is funny.
I guess it was just a useless attempt to bring focus back on WallStreet.
Most are far too busy with gun nuttery, or promoting anti-government conspiracy theory, to notice that like monkeys, cats can be better at picking stocks.
So why I ask, why are the human "stock pickers" billionaires?
I don't get anything near an answer, instead I get down voted over telling the truth about the 2nd amendment.
Oh, well.
Not useless at all. Look at what you're dealing with.
The reality is that you brought to their attention that there is a chance element. This is huge. Chance? Holy crap..........for all the BS they are not quite as in control as they thought they were. You just jacked with their concept of free will and control of destiny. Good job.
Awesome
Thank you.
I agree with girlfriday below. You did great.

Transfurance? that's silly
Reform WallStreet with cats!!
This could be the most important thread in weeks and it get's no notice?
The title isn't lurid enough?
We should be paying those CEOs in cat food, instead of expecting old people to survive on it.
Catnip is a legal all natural stimulant as well - no more illegal druggies with frying brains flushing money down toilets.
What about cat scratch fever?
What about it? Ask the Cat union. BTW - don't think it is drug related.
