It may not be Trayvon, but people need to be heard on this. I do support Obama, over Romney, but he keeps making it harder.

Good post.

95% of the government keeps making it harder.

"You want a lawyer? You don't get a lawyer!" - Senator Lindsey Graham

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsHjH3Jno6k

"This bill designates the world as the battlefield... Including the homeland."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUVsUpqQFY8&feature=related

"This legislation authorizes the military to indefinitely detain individuals without charge or trial, including the detention of U.S. citizens on U.S. soil. In short, what this bill does is it takes a wrecking ball to the United States Constitution and gives enormous power to the government or the state. I want friends on both sides of the aisle to understand this; we are giving the state more power over individuals with this bill. It’s the wrong direction." - FORMER congressman Dennis Kucinich

Another great quote from former Congressman Dennis Kucinich, one of the few that voted against the patriot act - "Our children deserve a world without end, not a war without end. Our children deserve a world where they know the government will protect them, that it is not going to rule over them by invading their very thoughts and going, as the PATRIOT Act does, going into their banking records or into their educational records. We have to keep the government out of people's lives and stop the government from getting more into war which gives the government more control over people. This is the time we take a stand for the Constitution and a stand for a government which is smaller when it comes on matters of war.”

Thank you for stopping by I don't think this is getting much coverage, please help if you can.

I wonder what they would have done to that kid back in the 80s that came within a hairs breadth of building a nuclear weapon in his garage?

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

I don't know, this is crazy what this law allows, and the Robert's Court seems to be OK with it, I don't find much me and the far right can agree on but I would think here's a good one.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

You would think they could find better applications than going after some kid for what he posts on the net.

How about a real investigation and arrests for groups like sovereign citizens?

Going after this kid, is just plain lazy.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

I agree, they put these stupid laws on the books then the whole is driven by selective enforcement, who knows what got these agents going, but it's so vague and broad it just depends on who's reading it that day, I don't like to judge anything this far away but I can't believe this kid is a threat to anybody and as you point out it's not like doesn't take time/money from something.

Quit worrying . Obama won't let anything truly damaging to our Civil Rights happen.

It's the Robert's Court I'm worried about.

Do you ( the public ) feel good about your country? Do you like the direction things are going? Do you feel safe and secure in your own homes? Look around you at the world, look at what is taking place here in America. Does this bode well? Where are the arrests of real criminals, you know the ones that caused the economic meltdown? Where is the promised reform to stop it from happening again? Break down those too big to fail institutions, I heard about that, has anything been done? How about regulating the for pure profit at the expense of the whole economy by Fossil Fuel speculation? How about making every new power plant planned for construction or currently being constructed comply to the cleanest operating technology that is available NOW instead of putting it off for tomorrow ( a tomorrow which never seems to arrive ).

Protest and demonstrations are fine, but they need to communicate clear messages rather than a general feeling of disgust.

Thanks for stopping by DK, I got this from a new FB friend, don't know if it will catch on but I do think it's a case worth looking at, as usual your suggestions for action are spot on.

Thank you for the post. People we need to stop and think about how best to go forward how to make the best use of our time and the tools we have to work with. Let us get proactive. Nothing good will come out of unfocused venting.

[-] 1 points by TruthRightsFreedom (259) 12 years ago

Realizing that "unfocused" is 1/2 the prob, the other is what to focus on.

It will not be more problems. It will be solution and it will be solution that invokes maximum authority with unity.

Article V

Read here, post here because it is about the only solution that gains the needed authority to stop unconstitutional government.

I think we all mostly hate the Patriot Act, I hope we can lay it up there next to "Stand Your Ground" this story looks like it's got heart, but anyway, we don't get to know anything and neither does the person charged.

Good expansion of the topic, OK I haven’t watch the whole thing yet, but I will if I don’t get too pissed off to keep watching.

Have a precautionary shot and a beer. Keep others ready in case of emergency.
