Forum Post: FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS and MARK YOUR CALENDARS: January 17th, January 20th and February 29th: 3 dates that are about to become important in American history

2.  * JANUARY 20th * is about to be a pretty big date too. Citizens United decision giving corporations power to buy elections with unlimited funds with no disclosure needs to be overturned with a constitutional amendment. 3.  * FEBRUARY 29th * - There are some very specific corporations who have banded together to do some pretty shady things that have a direct affect on the lives of tens of millions of citizens. This action calls on people to target corporations that are part of the American Legislative Exchange Council which is a prime example of the way corporations buy off legislators and craft legislation that serves the interests of corporations and not people. They used it to create the anti-labor legislation in Wisconsin and the racist bill SB 1070 in Arizona among so many others. They use ALEC to spread these corporate laws around the country.
