We need to pass financial regulations in concert with the major financial world: London Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong.

Whatever our political inclinations, the reality is that constrictive regulations in one country will result in businesses moving off-shore. Unless... there is a globally level and fair playing field.

We need FAIR trade. FAIR trade is not Free trade. Regulations, however, need to be implement for all competitors, including foreign competition. Without uniform global regulations, we will only continue to see jobs leave the US..

Thus I suggest working on international financial regulations with other worldwide Occupy groups.

Funny stuff. All the other Occupy groups, like this one in NYC, have so much power to implement these regulations that you suggest get "worked" on? So the OWS folks are more capable of figuring out these regulations than the WTO? I'm pretty sure there are some really smart people who are in the WTO and their job (something they get paid to do - perhaps you're not familiar with this term) is to actually design, negotiate, and implement trade agreements. FAIR?? What would define FAIR? Is trade that is based on a country's strengths in a competitive market FAIR??? Adam Smith - read up on him. He was pretty smart and wrote some things about trade and the flow of capital.

Putting my libertarian inclinations aside, I agree FAIR trade to be one of the top policies needing to be pushed right now. "Free" trade has been nothing but UNFAIR trade for this country, especially with our dealings with China.

I agree, and I think the solutions lie in global cooperation on implementing similar rules and regulations rather than protectionism.

That's because "free" trade is not really free. It's a co-opted slogan.
