I think it might be a good idea to expand uptown in Manhattan where the working poor and the poor live and work, and maybe even to the Bronx - some people there never even make it to Wall Street. Afraid that expanding to the Village isolates and threatens to marginalize ows and stereotype it as hippies, etc...

I like that idea. I think there is a talking points sheet that is pretty straightforward.

Considering that the media does portray OWS protestors and hippies, disorganized and clueless.

Expanding like that may introduce some problems. It may take away the focus and resources on the protest downtown. It also may appear to be more of a community outreach program. Maybe even upset some people.

I think it would be much more useful and beneficial if volunteers group up to hand out flyers and pamphlets with a straight to the point message.
