We have lived for too long in such a society that we've forgotten what we are. We are Human, just another species of Animal. We are no different than the dogs we keep as pets, other than the fact that we are smarter. My point being, just like the dogs we keep as pets, we should be free, like the animals that still roam the plains.
But we live in a society where we are the dogs, the pets, completely dependent on the rules of our owners (the government). We do what they say, because if we don't, we don't eat.
Like the animals of the plains, we are by nature, free. We have the right to live how we want. There is no rule in nature that says we have to live under someone else's rule, but we have allowed ourselves, since ancient times, to be herded under the rule of an owner.
Everything about our society depends on what our owners dictate. We live by their rules, we can only do what they want us to do, and if we go against their rule, we are punished. We are afraid of them, of their punishment, and we don't have to be. We shouldn't be. We should stand up for our very right as a living being on this planet to absolute and total freedom without rule.
But we don't, and we can't, because we are so indoctrinated into their rule, we are so dependent on their rules, and most importantly, their money, that attempting to escape these tyrannical owners means almost certain death.
And ultimately, we have no one to blame but ourselves, and our ancestors that didn't have the courage to stand against someone who deemed that they had power over them. They let someone collar and leash them, and now, we, and our descendants, will certainly suffer for it.
And we will never attain our freedom again, unless someone raises more than just their voice.
even in the animal kingdom, there are games, and there are rules.
i don't think an antelope that is born slower than the rest of the herd is going to start complaining about the crappy hand it was dealt and demand welfare when it is being chewed on by a bunch of lions.

The analogy of us being pets and the rich being the owners is a good one. Walter Lippman, the Pulitzer Prize winning mass media pioneer compared the "masses" (that's you and me, obviously) to a "bewildered herd" that NEEDED guiding by a ruling class. Harold Lasswell, who was a big name political scientist and communication theorist stated that the elite "must recognize the ignorance and stupidity of the masses and not succumb to democratic dogmatisms about men being the best judges of their own interests." That pretty much sums up how the rich feel about the working class. How's that make all of you feel. I'll tell you how it makes me feel. If I were a violent man . . . .
We can only be kept in the cages we do not see.

Very interesting video.
In a democracy, we equals the people and government is the representative of the people, so when the government restricts our freedoms, it does this in the name of we the people. Now, the bill of rights guarantees our individual freedoms, so that mob rule cannot dominate the individual. I assume your argument poses that this is no longer the case because government has ceased to represent the will of the people (which the Constitution requires every citizens' duty to revolt against), so my question is, based on the framework above, what steps can we take to put the government back into the hands of the people, with due respect to the fore mentioned documents?
The best start is to stop giving money away to people who already have too much. Think about this the next time you by gas instead of making your own, think about this whaen you walk into a supermarket, think about this as you write your next line of text.
I don't have an answer to that. I'm not someone who claims to have all, or even most of the answers. But I can see clearly that our very society is wrong, because it enables the 1% to have complete and total control over us.
why do you guys always start off with telling people they are idiots as a title for your posts. nobody is going to hear you in the context you're looking for when you intro like this. and maybe you could clarify a point instead of psychotropic "in a perfect world" kinda stuff. you know... really make use of the podium.
Because people don't listen to calm words.
that all the justification ever needed for war
Don't fall for this psychological crap from any one percent goon. It's an obvious attempt to divert our attention from the obscene, unjust, immoral, and illogical concentration of wealth. Donald Trump went on record the other day telling us to blame the government instead of Wall Street and the richest one percent. His goons are obviously online and on air trying to divert our attention. Don't fall for it. Just keep protesting no matter what the one percent goons say or do. Our message is vital. Below is my two cents:
We have been mislead by Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, and nearly every other public figure. Economic growth, job creation, and actual prosperity are not necessarily a package deal. In fact, the first two are horribly misunderstood. Economic growth/loss (GDP) is little more than a measure of wealth changing hands. A transfer of currency from one party to another. The rate at which it is traded. This was up until mid ’07′ however, has never been a measure of actual prosperity. Neither has job creation. The phrase itself has been thrown around so often, and in such a generic political manner, that it has come to mean nothing. Of course, we need to have certain things done for the benefit of society as a whole. We need farmers, builders, manufacturers, transporters, teachers, cops, firefighters, soldiers, mechanics, sanitation workers, doctors, managers, and visionaries. Their work is vital. I’ll even go out on a limb and say that we need politicians, attorneys, bankers, investors, and entertainers. In order to keep them productive, we must provide reasonable incentives. We need to compensate each by a fair measure for their actual contributions to society. We need to provide a reasonable scale of income opportunity for every independent adult, every provider, and share responsibility for those who have a legitimate need for aid. In order to achieve and sustain this, we must also address the cost of living and the distribution of wealth. Here, we have failed miserably. The majority have already lost their home equity, their financial security, and their relative buying power. The middle class have actually lost much of their ability to make ends meet, re-pay loans, pay taxes, and support their own economy. The lower class have gone nearly bankrupt. In all, its a multi-trillion dollar loss taken over about 30 years. Millions are under the impression that we need to create more jobs simply to provide more opportunity. as if that would solve the problem. It won’t. Not by a longshot. Jobs don’t necessarily create wealth. In fact, they almost never do. For the mostpart, they only transfer wealth from one party to another. A gain here. A loss there. Appreciation in one community. Depreciation in another. In order to create net wealth, you must harvest a new resource or make more efficient use of one. Either way you must have a reliable and ethical system in place to distribute that newly created wealth in order to benefit society as a whole and prevent a lagging downside. The ‘free market’ just doesn’t cut it. Its a farce. Many of the jobs created are nothing but filler. The promises empty. Sure, unemployment reached an all-time low under Bush. GDP reached an all-time high. But those are both shallow and misleading indicators. In order to gauge actual prosperity, you must consider the economy in human terms. As of ’08′ the average American was working more hours than the previous generation with far less equity to show for it. Consumer debt, forclosure, and bankruptcy were also at all-time highs. As of ’08′, every major American city was riddled with depressed communities, neglected neighborhoods, failing infrastructures, lost revenue, and gang activity. All of this has coincided with massive economic growth and job creation. Meanwhile, the rich have been getting richer and richer and richer even after taxes. Our nation’s wealth has been concentrated. Again, this represents a multi-trillion dollar loss taken by the majority. Its an absolute deal breaker. Bottom line: With or without economic growth or job creation, you must have a system in place to prevent too much wealth from being concentrated at the top. Unfortunately, we don’t. Our economy has become nothing but a giant game of Monopoly. The richest one percent already own nearly 1/2 of all United States wealth. More than double their share before Reagan took office. Still, they want more. They absolutely will not stop. Now, our society as a whole is in serious jeapordy. Greed kills.
So basically everybody who disagrees with you is a goon? I s this what the new society will be like?
When a small army of users start posting dozens of new pages which make no reference whatsoever to Wall Street, the richest one percent, or the obscene concentration of wealth, OR they feed us some crap about blaming the government exclusively while letting Wall Street and the richest one percent off the hook one day after Donald Trump tries to divert our attention with the same business friendly BS, yes. Some of you are goons. Especially those of you who use every trick in the book to keep me from posting responses informing others of the organized attempt to divert our attention. Yup.
Are you stupid or something? Wall Street isn't the only problem. It's BOTH the government AND Wall Street. It's the ENTIRE SYSTEM. That's the point I'm trying to make here.
Are you stupid or something? What about the richest one percent and the obscene concentration of wealth?
You're not even understanding my point. You're too wrapped up in your single "cause" to see the bigger picture. This whole 99% vs 1% thing is caused by the very way our society works. It's because we live this way that things have come to be as they are. The banks, the very wealthy, they are not your only enemies. It all comes back to the government and the tyrants who use you as servants to forward their own greed.
They do so in coordination with Wall Street and the richest one percent. Greed kills.
But you do realize that all of this, again, comes back to the very way our society is built, right? In reality, the 1% have won this battle before the 99% even decided that they wanted to wage it, simply because we are so deeply dependent on what the 1% dictates and creates. We need our freedom, we need our very human rights, but no one is going to really stand up against the 1%. They aren't listening to you, because they know that at the end of the day, you can't do anything about them. You need their money to live, you need their products to live, and unless people are willing to sacrifice everything for their true freedom, the 99% can't lose, because you refuse to give up the things that they shackle you down with.
No we don't need their products exclusively. And we sure as hell don't need them to be so rich. The economy did very well from the mid '40's to the mid '70's. During this time, the lion's share of United States wealth was held by the lower 90 percent. Now, it's the other way around with the lion's share being held by the top one percent. That is downright obscene and unjust. Nobody is advocating taking the one percent out. But God damn it. They are too rich. Way too God damn rich.
