I think the trolls are getting such a hight profile that it harms our image. When the public wants to learn about OWS - where do they automatically go? The OWS site. What do they encounter there? A bunch of nutcase trolls who they probably think is a representation of who we are. I think hey are using the OWS site as effective propoganda against us.
I don't have a good overall view of it - I think in some individual cases trolls may have incentive to reexamine their own positions. Not sure.

which is where most people will end up initially if they find this site. And anyone who has been online any length of time knows what flame wars are, how they are conducted, so . . . I dunno. I hope the trolls haven't been too successful - it doesn't seem too likely - but I don't have analytical tools that could quantify that with any precision.
And I found your post on Rome - excellent post! But I lost it in the process of attempting to comment on it - the format over there is a bit new to me. I'll find it again though.

Thanks for your impressions. I'm sure you're more sophisticated regarding technology that I am. I'm just basing my thoughts on what I have seen here on the forum. Perhaps people are expierenced enough with websites to discern the difference between us and them. I hope so anyway. I am still shifting to T.M. I think it's more condusive to rational thought.

Than please show them to be the disintegrated, hate-filled, sociopaths that most of them are - to your hearts content! Given that this forum is here, and will apparently remain here, I guess that's filling a necessary (and granted, sometimes hysterically amusing) function.
Aside from the first point I made about the impression it might lead newcomers to, regarding our movement, I'm also afraid it will dicourage our own participation through a sheer sense of nausia, like that from being slimed all day by a bunch of cockroaches. But if you're up to it - have fun!!!

No just tired of feeding economic baby food to the trolls who are too ignorant to digest it. Instead of embracing the lessons of history they choose to believe fantasy books like Atlas Shrugged or the failed economics ideas of Milton Friedman. Dismissing everyone who disagrees with you as trolls only shows that you don't have the courage to defend your arguments.
There has been nothing out of you that could be considered an idea to dismiss. If you presented one then I would be able to dismiss it, being who you obviously are. But it's pretty easy to tell those who have ideas counter to ours from trolls. I respect them, and treat them with the dignity they deserve. You are not one of those people. You are a mere mouth for hire, and I can say right now that they aren't getting their monies worth.
If you had bothered to Google my contributions to this forum, you'd see that I've made extended substantive arguments in favor of my ideas and against yours. There are some thoughtful (though wrong) people who support OWS, but you, like most in the movement, are just an entitled crybaby.
I went there and now my computer has a virus. Stay away. I think multitude is an identity thief posing as an OWS supporter.
