I fairly positive it's not just me but I find that neither the democratic or republican party has the countries best interest at heart. As the date towards the next presidential election comes near I grow increasingly pessimistic about having leader who will rise up and truly fight for what I believe.
In my opinion it is imperative that' We the People' establish a solid presence in our government. No longer do I want the occupy movement to be viewed as a group protesters, but instead be seen as the group of leaders who will keep the nations best interest at heart.
With that said I declare a call to arms for anyone who has the feelings that I do to come together. Somewhere within the 99% there must be those who poses the capabilities to lead a nation. There must be those who are wise enough to understand our constitution beyond what was written down; who understand the feelings, concerns, and dreams of those who wrote it.
The 99% are not alone. The tyrants who oppress us are only a fraction of the 1% we despise. For those of you in the 1% who stand with us I ask that you be brave enough to use your affluence to support a true movement when the time comes.
If the government is going to kick us our of our public parks then it's time we OCCUPY THE GOVERNMENT.
Both Barrels: Occupy Inboxes – NY, GA, CA,
In solidarity with “EVICTED 'OCCUPY”s in:
NEW YORK CITY
ATLANTA
OAKLAND
You and 10 of your friends send a daily e-mail to OCCUPY the INBOXs of city officials that have been inhospitable to the Occupy Movement.
Only e-mail any single officer holder or office once every 24 hours!
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg City Hall New York, NY 10007 E-MAIL: http://www.nyc.gov/html/mail/html/mayor.html
Kasim Reed Mayor City of Atlanta 55 Trinity Avenue Atlanta, Georgia 30303 E-MAIL: mayorreed@atlantaga.gov
Office of Oakland Mayor Jean Quan Oakland City Hall 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza Oakland, CA 94612 E-MAIL: http://www.oaklandnet.com/contactmayor.asp
The purpose is to show the intent and intensity of the Occupy Movement not to show off the intent or intensity of any given protester.
If there is a quantitative affect on their servers that effects the normal operation of their communications let it be because they received a number of e-mails from different protesters rather than it be because you sent any one officer holder or office a number of e-mails on the same day.
Respecting first responders and public safety, do not send e-mails directly to officer holders or offices such as the police, fire department nor emergency and ambulatory agents or services.
PLEASE ONLY REPLY TO THIS POST WITH THE EMAIL ADDRESS OR EMAIL LINK OF A CITY OFFICIAL OF A CITY THAT HAS ACTUALLY TAKEN ACTION TO EVICT AN OCCUPY!
Replicate the current status quo.
Put up a representative from every state in the US of A.
Use the internet free media to advertise policy and direction.
Maintain the stance that representatives are not bought and paid for by corporations or banks.
Show cohesion, and common ground within your ranks, while addressing local issues.
Avoid slandering the incumbents. Simply ask who is paying for their campaigns.
That's definitely something that I think would work. Only concern is that it is all done in a central location. Perhaps if representative were elected in general assemblies who then convened together.
I agree, OWS has to move to the next level. The occupation aspect was effective but should not have been expected to go on indefinitely. Ongoing assemblies, by all means. There are some suggestions out there for how to take it to the next level (V Amendment, create PAC) but here's the concept I support. https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/
It's late so I'll leave it with you to consider. reply if you wish to discuss.
