Why does an English class cost $2,000 today but in 1995 cost maybe $1,000? Is there a reason why English, Math and History classes cost so much more today than before?

The government should work with universities to lower their costs. This could help more middle class and poor kids afford college and graduate.

Why does it cost more......?

Because more is being promised to the employees of those state college systems in the way of long term benefits when they retire.....

Meanwhile there are hundreds of millions of dollars, in some cases billions of dollars in their school foundations, that could dramatically help students lower the cost of education ......

The government's way of "helping" students and at the same time helping their generous donors is to offer low-interest student loans that choke out middle class workers for years. Follow the money, Obama was bought by academia.
