Posted 13 years ago on Oct. 29, 2011, 2:53 p.m. EST by CJY (26)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Demand #1: Institute a heavy progressive tax system such that the more one makes, the more taxes one pays.

Demand #2: Abolish all rights of inheritance via the imposition of higher estate taxes for everyone.

Demand #3: Allow the government to take over private land deemed to be for the benefit of the masses.

Demand #4: Confiscate the wealth of individuals wishing to take money out of the US including the establishment of Special Purpose Investment Vehicles to shelter them from paying US Taxes.

Demand #5: Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State so that private wall street banks cannot make profits at the expense of the 99%.

Demand #6: Have the government takeover businesses owned by the 1% in order to redistribute wealth to the 99%. No more CEOs making tens of millions of dollars while laying off the 99%.

Demand #7: Restructure the entire economy so that our agricultural, manufacturing and service industries are all working in cohesion.

Demand #8: Free education to everyone!!!

How many of you agree with these demands?!?

I don't agree with your stuff. Sounds alike a bunch of hippies. Who is paying for the bailout of the banks 8 trillion take from the Federal Reserve - You and I are. Our politicians are bought and paid for and the regulatory bodies are run by the corporate giants heads who make the laws out of view and independent of Congress and Senate. Why is that, the Congress and Senate set up those regulatory bodies, so, they could wash themselves of responsibilities and bypass mandates and laws within there own political beuarcratic bodies. So, you want to give them more money, more taxes, and then you want to turn into a TEA PARTY group and have your own slice of the tax payer pie for your own agendas. You don't question a NBA basket ball player who works 3 hours a day making millions a year but a guy who runs 1,000's of people and responible for billions take a few million and you crap all over yourselves. You OWS people are a disapointment and more of the same.

1. Last I looked at a tax tables, we have that. So I agree we should keep it.

2. Don't know if I like this. When my mom dies, I want to be able to keep what she has worked hard for all her life. Its not much, but she needs it now and wants to give it to me.

3. No, I dont like this one unless there's a stopping line. Emminent domain already exists, (take your house to build a road etc) and so far its not overused. But I agree to keep the emminent domain laws that are already there.

4. I like this, but aren't there laws already that do that?

5. I like the idea of more state rights and less fed powers! thumbs up.

6. We can start with Michael Moore, worth 50 million, last I saw. It kind of pisses me off he has so much money and is blaming others who have the same. If he believes in OWS, Michael, then donate to the cause! jessus..

7. First we'd need to bring it back to the US. manufacturing is mostly overseas where its cheaper. We can help by stop buying foreign made goods.

8. Public education is free. Or did you go to a boarding or private school for high school? well, that's a choice to pay then, I got my education free. And even higher education I can get free, I 'audit' college classes. for free. You only have to pay for the paper that says you got a degree, and I dont need the paper, I just want the education.

OWS compared to the Tea Party

Christine O'Donnell was nominated in Delaware to be the Tea Party Republican candidate for the United States Senate. OWS adamantly refuses to endorse much less nominate any candidate to run for election. The OWS believes that they can choose demands that will be enacted by merely sitting in the park holding signs and having petitions signed.

The Tea Party demands to get government out of the lives of all except for sexual behavior. Christine O'Donnell claimed she was against masturbation. Does Christine actually know what masturbation is and has Christine ever masturbated? Christine went right down the line about gay marriage and abortion. Now that Christine has been video taped and has written a book the OWS would be wise to consider making her the poster child for the right wing nuts.

Instead of using Christine O"Donnell as the poster child for Republicans, the OWS prefers to claim that they are the 99% which mathematically includes the 35% of American Republicans who gave a knee jerk reaction applause to Rick Perry when Rick bragged that as Governor of Texas he leads the nation http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/number-executions-state-and-region-1976 by far. Perry was proud that he executed 234 and Perry believes that to be thoughtful.

Rick is welcome and cheered by the media and nothing he says is conclusive to any American that he is a ridiculous imbecile. At best they make jokes about him but the jokes ignore the stupidity of all Americans to give his candidacy any credibility.

With Obama on record for being a liar on every campaign promise, and being wrong on every decision he has made in office, the OWS fails to see any opportunity to nominate any candidate for election. During my experience with hundreds of OWS people in person in the park and on the OWS forum they are as uniformly ridiculous and naive as the Tea Party. With all of this clearly on the record, the only conclusion possible is that America is doomed. read more http://overthecoals.blogspot.com/
