And it's the oil companies that we have to be focused on. Worldwide economy is ran on the addiction of the combustion of fossil fuels. Food, product, and gasoline are all transported via fossil fuel combustion by plane, boat, vehicle. The carbon released into the atmosphere is rapidly causing high acidity levels in our lakes, rivers, oceans...this will eventually kill all living organisms starting with those at the start of the food web...Vegetation. If gasoline isn't delivered to your town you won't be able to travel, eat, or use electricity (coal). This whole method of life we rely on is only possible if all the hundreds of people whose responsible from start to end of the oil drilling and delivering process wake up and do their jobs everyday...it makes absolutely no sense that we rely on and use so much of something so terrible for the most unique planet we know in the universe...the home of millions and millions of species    

And besides if you think about it.. every american is paying for a car payment, insurance, gasoline, and auto maintenance..... That's a whooooole lot of money. If everyone instead invested those thousand and thousands of dollars into a sustainable train system...a person could go from Miami to Oregon for free....
