Last night I watched the livestreams on the OWS manifestations in NYC - it was awesome to watch that huge crowd of people move across Brooklyn Bridge - such a powerful statement, so impressive...
First thing I did today was checking the local newspapers on their coverage of this event. What a bummer! Riots broke out, they write, and only about 1000 protesters marching. What a deception. Total proof of media incompetence.
But hey, they can't stop us now. I want to say all kinds of incomprehensible and ugly sounding Dutch words, I'm so impressed, so happy to be part of this.
Wish you guys all the best, I'm with you all the way...
The media doesn't realize is that many of the eyes looking at their coverage are doing so with a new awareness and are comparing the reports given between media outlets with the reports posted on you tube and blogs and evaluating the veracity of reports and the motives that likely are behind any discrepancies or misreporting. With every easily dis-proven distortion of the facts, they prove to a growing number their lack of credability. Every lie serves to expose their willingness to distort the truth and the presence of a hidden agenda unrelated to their claim to be purely driven by journalistic duty to provide accurate news.
Yeah, it's getting pathetic the way they show their hand. They even don't bother maintaining at least some illusion of credibility. They just print lies in plain sight. Just like they're supposed to. So predictable. Boring, actually.
Yeah well... do we need them?
Massive?
Isn't massive a word?
I have replaced massive with a set of very powerful Dutch curses, which I subsequently replaced with something else, hope you are happy now.
Dutch curses can really wreak havoc, you know. And we've already got plenty of that as it is. Havoc, that is. Which is another strange word, especially if you say it a couple of times.
