With the Dow Jones hitting a new all time high and wages representing the lowest percentage of GDP since we been keeping records evidence mounts that we no longer need cap gains and dividend special tax treatment nor is it good policy.
The story is not new:
Again.

And again.

Now remind me again why is it so terrible if the government were to remove the cap on Social Security and apply it to all forms of income, isn’t it time we redistributed some of this wealth and what would be better than taking care of workers in their old age, after all no body has fixed retirement plans anymore. We need to adjust income taxes so that the bills are paid as well so as to not burden our children with our debt. We could do that with a transition tax and having everybody pay the same rate according to their income no matter how they make their money.
Corp profits up. Wages stagnant!
Stockholders doing great, the rest of us still in the great recession.
Heres why.

FYI
The site still seems more focused on helping the Greens than helping the country.
You mean THIS site? Or the one with my link (nationofchange)
This one.
I ignore that element. The green party (all 3rd parties) are locked out of the process.
Since many people here who push greens don't push for the electoral changes necessary to win I assume they are just trying to get Dem leaning progressives to throw their vote away.
Those people are fighting a losing battle. They are more likely NOT occupy supporters and when confronted with issues they stumble.
More commentary on this important issue.
