As to UNEMPLOYMENT. Computers are doing the jobs of humans. It started with gas station attendants losing their jobs to "pay at the pump". In my industry (printing), the internet has taken over as companies are printing less brochures. Newspapers are almost extinct and magazines are folding or dwindling. The US Post Office feels the effects of this. Bank tellers are replaced by ATM's. Even tollbooths are now run by machines rather than humans. Please reply to this post with other examples, as there are many. Perhaps I am wrong and for every job lost there is a technological job gained, but I doubt this is so. I believe that technology has become another one of our own worst enemies.
cash registers are done by do it yourself registers, automated systems replaced real people, machines do many manufacturing type things that humans used to.
they use computer controlled machines to build other machines that make a great deal of the stuff that should be made by american workers
It gets better. Most, if not all those machines are made... Guess where?
Hint: not here.
