Guys, u need to be very careful and not turn this into a violent demonstration. As Lennon once said: the only things the establishment doesn't know how to cope with are non-violence and humor. So keep it non-violent, or you are risking turning the public against you, as then the establishment can portray you as hooligans. This is a very thin line, and u must not cross it. Good luck and god bless, your fight is the fight of the 99% of the world - not just the U.S.

"Beware of using violence! It might turn the public against you!" - Do you think that the very same words could be addressed to The NYPD ; LAPD ; CPD ; SPD etc. etc. ?! + NYPD = NOT Your Police Dept. ;-(

It's just sad that there really are people out there as ridiculous as you.

There have been several instances of right-wingers bringing violence to OWS. One group, usborderguards.com, came in full camo and brought assault rifles. One "END THE FED" supporter burned down an office building. "END THE FED" is a major rallying point for right-wing extremist lunatics who bring violent and racist attitudes to OWS.

Wise words, often stressed on this site. And I have to throw out a quote from our very own Leynna (where has she been?) who was herself quoting Theodore Roszak: "People try nonviolence for a week, and when it doesn't work they go back to violence, which hasn't worked for centuries."

Good advice no matter where it comes from, that bears repeating as often as folks can see fit to point it out :)

Non-violence is crucial. You cannot make a better world if it is not born in peace. As long as we are non-violent, it will only make the police look more corrupt and insane. It will force the cops to question their own actions if we build no motive of retaliation against us. A LOT of people are watching the movement and care about where it is going but are unable to actively participate. Politically and spiritually, we are with you. But if you act in violence -- you will have abandoned us.

I'm not saying: "don't demonstrate". I'm saying - demonstrate, but non-violently. Of course the NYPD needs to be non-violent as well, that comes without saying. I'm just saying that using violence might hurt your struggle, which is a very just struggle, and I don't wan't that to happen.

lennon was right, we need only peace, TRUTH and some humor. We will win with that, but TRUTH must come first as it is our only real weapon. I see almost no truth here. We need to gather together in our own tribes or clubs, ala fight club minus the fighting.

Have you not looked at the polls? It's too late.
