I think we should take some time off and spend it with our families for the season.

There is not holiday cheer for the close to 50 million who live below the poverty level in the US. Any suggestions for them?

You're never too poor to celebrate the holidays...

Nice sentiment in theory, but harder in practice. If people with a little extra to spare could share with a poor family well then yes "You're never too poor to celebrate the holidays" would feel less naked.

If its thanks giving someone will be donating turkey and if its Christmas someone will be donating gifts.

Are the 1% taking a break in exploiting us? Some people are truely homeless. Where are they to take a break? We need to visibly occupy a public space 24/7. Besides providing a home for people who truely need it, that is what gives our movement it's public presence, not to mention the fact that if money is free speech then tents and sleeping bags ought to be free speech too. Finally, this is the perfect season in which to show how pathetically phoney the 1% is. Let them be Scrooge and dispossess us while singing "peace on Earth, good will to men."

The 1% have authorized me to tell you that they will be taking a Thanksgiving break from exploiting you. Exploitation will resume the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Most people are going to take a brake for the holidays.

Yes that includes the scrooges.

Great. If the Scrooge's really are going to take a break over Christmas that 's all the more reason for the truely homeless, extremely committed, those without families and those who don't traditionally celebrate the holidays to take that opportunity to re-occupy Liberty Plaza with sleeping bags, tents and everything else we need for our home. If the Scrooge's are too busy taking a break to kick us out all to the better. If not and they do kick us out on Christmas Eve it will prove to the world what Scrooge's they truely are. Fully Re-Occupy Liberty Plaza on Christmas Eve! Let's decorate the trees with Christmas ornaments and pop pop corn while Santa comes in blue riot gear to bust us!

If the Holidays were holy...

they would not be mired in mainstream consumer materialism but in the compassionate help to those people around the world who are hurting most.

if you understand and live that ....

the joy and everlasting true meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas is experienced.

Do something special for someone who is in need and can never repay you.

Then you will understand the power of your money and "true wealth and freedom" ...

and what makes these holidays deserving to be celebrated.

You are losing touch of reality. Time to back away.

Reoccupying Liberty Plaza would be, to my mind, the very best way to celebrate the holidays. Bring our families! Our friends at Liberty Plaza are our family!

Yes. Take a breather and discuss what is happening in America with your family.
