tuition's going up 8% year over year has to do with the mafia ( Teachers Unions) they are far worse than the banks in that either you borrow and sign your life away at the college level:or, in case of the elementary grade levels they simply raise your property taxes once- twice- three times a decade to pay for the exorbitant salaries of the School superintendent and the principals. I read a story of a school superintendent who was making 700k a year - that should be illegal.
If you do not think liberals make their money off you one way or another- either through your taxes or extortion then you have blinders on. Vote Independent and for lower taxes- because we are being screwed by the democrats.
This is very true. Universities raise tuition costs, not banks.
We are paying professors top dollars to teach you things that you will never use or find a job in. Imagine how much money we could save if we minimized or cut useless programs like philosophy, sociology and gender studies.
Yes salaries go up for administrators, but not for teachers....at least not proportionally. When banks and student loan dispensers approve slightly larger loans, the schools see that they can raise their tuitions....then the next year, the banks increase their allowable amounts....and so on.

Everything the corporate whores do is going UP.
Medical, dental, legal, education, ... prison's incarceration cost. INSURANCE is the worst fucking corporate problem of gouging.
Once upon a time, great institutions had a PATRON, a rich guy that sponsored the school, maybe a smart kid got to go.
Now corporations have taken over the university and pre-school and made them 'profitable', well of course they boiled the frog. When I went to school at Univ-of-Cali as a kid it was $100/semester. Now its $50k/year most places, what the fuck happened? My guess is LAWYERS is the real problem, see everything is litigated now schools, driving, medical, and the cost passed on to consumers.
The lawyers have fucked us to death, where litterally once again people will die of old age from simple med problems, cuz nobody can afford an education or a doctor.
