Forum Post: Doesn't anybody get it?

Once again, we are losing focus on the fact that logic, ethics, and morality for all is what we're all looking for. Why do we care about republican or democrat or government or no government? We want to live, we want to earn for our families, and we want to live comfortably with dedicated healthcare and concern for everyone's livelihoods... You people need to get your priorities straight, just like the people controlling government and the 1%. Maybe once we all get that through our heads we might go somewhere other than separating and fraying at the edges like the billion left and right and middle groups that exist...

Who cares that republicans are attacking OWS? They can't even give women control over their own bodies, they can't even give gays the same civil rights they give blacks and women, they can't even allow the public to group together and have a voice with enough power represent their interests in making a living...

Who cares about any of it? You want your religious freedoms? Privacy freedoms? Bodily freedoms? Freedom to hand down your own set of ethics and morality to your family?

If you don't give a shit about the next man, this all fails. It's like hearing on the radio in the arabic world that moderate muslims didn't like a particular movie because it offended their religious views... DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE! It probably offends other religions that they can't watch the movie either because you had to make everything about yourself. Stop being as selfish and greedy as the people we're all trying to battle with.

I don't care about what the gays want to do. I don't care about what the feminists want to do, or the facists, or the biggots, or racists, or republicans, democrats, obama, muslims, you name it. Let me earn, let me live my life the way I want to live it without bothering anyone else, and leave me the hell alone. Don't like pot? Nobody's forcing you to smoke it, and you have no right to tell someone else that they can't, because what if you like cocaine? Nobody's being forced to snort it, and you're not bothering anyone by doing it right? So why not?

Let's get our heads on straight. I want to do what I want, in peace, without bothering anyone else, in order to live my life the way I feel is best for me and my situation. I want to see the next guy enjoying life and living it the way he and his family wants to without being compromised by some other greedy fuck who can't get enough of themselves or their values being spread everywhere because a little voice either inside their head or over their shoulder tells them to. To each his own? Start acting like it.
