Forum Post: Does 'like - dislike' = 'agree - disagree'?

In an attempt to help clarify communication related to this forum specifically. For me, i will not dislike a comment because i disagree with it necessarily; i think disagreement can be a healthy thing. I dislike a comment when i feel someone is being a blatant __hole, but try to consider a different point of view if it seems to be honest disagreement.
Any thoughts on this? How do you use the 'like - dislike' vote, if at all?
