The key to this issue is Senator Harry Reid - from Nevada.
senators pay the most attention to their own state's constituents.
Anyone can call or write any or all of his offices to demand that
he push to ELIMINATE the filibuster for everything.
MAJORITY rules !
not the obstructionist party of the 1%

Freedom of speech is guaranteed twice in the constitution. The filibuster is a safeguard against a tyranny of the majority. The filibuster protects the minority from being punished for simply disagreeing with the majority.
You bensdad are nothing but a democrat shill who want nothing more than to see your political party rule the country with complete impunity.

brilliant! You've well encapsulated the GOP strategy. So many are so good at it, almost to an art form, like they watch FOX day and night. The best of the best can always do this for the right. They even think of themselves as intellectuals! It's amazing. What is it called? A Smart Approach To Stupidity!
Put things in perspective: There are no democrat shills. There's just one group of people who need to suffer the fruitlessness of their own ignorance and stupidity, (you and yours), and the rest of us. Tyranny, you must be joking right?
The attempt to abolish the filibuster is an attempt to limit speech in the US Senate.
I couldn't give a shit what party you are or are not from. Both parties are equally bad. Democrats are just as bad the Republicans.
I am against anyone who attempts to limit the speech of other people.
Our government was designed to be slow and deliberative. Without the filibuster, the Senate will become just as corrupt as the Tea-bag House.
Just as corrupt? It is already at the height of corruption. The teabaggers are just putting it right over the edge. In a time when technology has advanced so much, socially we have been going in reverse. The filibuster doesn't inhibit free speech. The majority is the will of the people, whether we like it or not. It can always be reversed. Read HR 992-where the majority easily voted for the banks over the people AGAIN. Where was the filibuster there? No one's even heard of 992, but they've heard of Dodd-Frank. Why is that? That's tyranny, friend. And while the democrats are pug lite, it is truly the pugs that brought us to where we are. But who needs to judge? The outcome is already evident. It's just that the guilty still can't see it.
I agree, "[t]he filibuster doesn't inhibit free speech." That is kinda mine point. The filibuster shouldn't be abolished.

Fucking dirtbag.
at ridgemont high - huh - good fit me thinks - ever see that horrible little movie that tried to be a comedy? I figure fasttimes to be like that kid in the pool house - premature jack.
I haven't seen that movie in years.
Can't blame ya - it was hard enough to sit through it once. {:-])
Yep.
All in all though - it did remind me of some desperately awkward kids that I knew in high school. Perhaps that is why I did not find it at all funny - but just painful to watch.
Meh. I didn't think it was worth sitting down to watch the first time.
TRUTH - like I said it was only painful to watch instead of just boring - due to the kids I knew who were so painfully awkward. It was in no way funny or cute or smart or anything else.
