The title may seem a bit misleading, and may seem to ask if protests are planned for polling sites, but that's not my question.
I'd like to know if people from OWS are planning on voting either in the party primaries or the general elections next year.
I know many people within the movement have themselves convinced that billionaires buy politicians and the voting system is a farce. So I'd like to know how many protesters I can expect to be processing in when I work the polls for both primaries and the big kahuna of all elections next year, as well as gladly submit my first vote for president (I turned 18 just about a year ago, and registered to vote almost immediately, but obviously not soon enough to vote in '08).
I told my daughter when she turned 18 and we were talking about voting, the process, and why it matters, I imparted to her my feeling that if you don't vote, you don't get the right to complain about what the politicians do.
Seems like there is a lot of that here. Not voting, or understanding the issues, but lots and lots of complaining.
Even if you do think that the voting system is a failure, which I completely disagree with, you still need to vote.
Sadly, there are some who do not cherish the American privilege of voting as you and I do.
Try to get between me and my vote against Obummer and I''ll snap your neck.
Nobody's stopping me from voting his ass out of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., that's for sure. I'm not sure who you think is trying to stop you though.
