It would be fair to say that the objectives of OWS are quite similar to those of the New Deal and the Great Society.
If you would like to read a great book about our current movement, but written about the American people during the Great Depression, then pick up a copy of David Kenney's, "Freedom From Fear."
Wisdom springs from desiring the right things. You can be very clever and determined, but when you pour your energies into folly, you obtain nothing.
Perhaps, at this stage of the movement, it would be helpful to stop shutting down ports or occupying church lots and to start reading.
Another very helpful book, that I would recommend to even the trolls on this forum, is Jonathan Chait's, "The Big Con."
Building an intellectual storehouse of ideas, sorting and refining these ideas, and gauging them against possibility and reality should be the winter project of us all. It's time to think and it's time to seek out the wisdom of the past.
Jflynn64 is on the enemies list.
And puff6269.
Puff6962 is the one that's true, Puff6269 is imposter slime.
You made my week-end. Do tell me, why the Puff pseudonym.
I haven't laughed this hard in along time. I have to thank you. This is absolutely priceless.
Come on, send some invectives my way.
Hey Puff Daddy, have you sent your check yet. I get it, what are you 49 or 50, obviously overweight, hence your pseudonym, had trouble with the ladies back in the day and was not popular in school. So now you have made money, 1%er, and think you can lead this group. This is your chance, puffster, make it work.
Start reading up on your economics as you will actually have to learn it. With your investment acumen, maybe you should be the one making the investment decisions. 14% annualized returns over the last 30 years is better than Madoff. Oh no, don't tell me...

First Power, Then Change.
Puffy. I forgot to tell you. I am really really scared that I am on your enemies list. Contact me and I will give you my information.
Did nobody pay attention to you when you were a kid so this is your chance to be a bully.
Feel free to describe your ideas in a forum post and we will then be able to have some sort of dialogue. All I know of you now is that you are a little man.
I already did that Puffy and the bully in you came out calling me an idiot and now a little man. You had to tell me how wealth you are - that's right Puff, money doesn't buy you class. And now I'm on your enemies list.
In my book you're a bully, trying to verbally abuse people.
