Against
-Min Wage 8.75 - 11.00 an hour Higher than the federal US -Free Health Care -7.1% unemployment rate -Lower income inequality than the US by far
For
-Higher income inequality than most of europe/Australia -Total taxes paid as a percentage of income higher for the poorest 10% than the richest 1% (http://www.policyalternatives.ca/sites/default/files/uploads/publications/National_Office_Pubs/2007/Eroding_Tax_Fairness_web.pdf)
Maybe Canadians use the NHL as a release and proxy for their blood lust and hero worship?
Hey, beats invading other countries.
