Ok, well, that was a pleasant day dream.

Back to reality.....what else do you have?

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

Permaculture, aquaponics, autonomous building?

As long as "money" exists ...Capitalism will exist...

whether legal or not ... whether supported or not ... private trade with profitable goals will exist ... it's human nature ...

And to take it a step further ... as long as Barter exists... money (or scripts, iou's, notes, etc) will exist ... at the least as nothing more than a convenience ...

Capitalism is a reality... as is Socialism ... etc...

All we really need to do.... is ... Learn to Share before greed destroys us....

I'm game... what's your answer qm ? ... how would you possibly Destroy Capitalism ?

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

There is only one way. You seize the means of production and hand it over to the workers.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Well that does not destroy it as much as it just balances out the process quite a bit. Co-operatives are more fair to the employees - but they are still competitive with each other and looking to make money/profits.

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

That is why you create handcrafted and high quality goods of regional origin others can't.

Yep - the concept of being the benchmark.

Socialism is destroying Europe.

What else do you have? If given a choice between the stagnation of socialism or the dynamism of capitalism, it's an easy choice.

[-] 2 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

Germany is a socialist capitalst nation, and prosperous to boot.

Crony capitalism is destroying America, and Shock Doctrine is responsible for more damage and corrupt bankster theft than any form of socialism.

[-] -1 points by Perfectcast (-168) 11 years ago

One country, Germany, is prospering. Spain, Grece, Italy, Cyprus, France, are coming apart. What do you own that was built in Europe?

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Make no mistake: what took place in Greece on the 12th of February 2012 – the agreement by the majority of the Greek parliament to the wholesale sell-off of their country – is about something far bigger, and much more insidious and dangerous, than debt, the story that is being sold to the public across Europe. To demonise the Greek people, as the European media has largely done, for failing to pay their taxes and therefore being responsible for what has happened, is simply smoke and mirrors on the part of the powers-that-be.

It’s the same, tired but highly effective old story of divide-and-rule: pitch nation against nation by feeding people inaccurate information in order to evoke reactions favourable to governments and big business, keeping hidden the real corruption at the heart of the problem – the collusion between politicians and bankers – and then reducing some obvious facts to infantile simplicities and selling them to the public by way of inflammatory and inaccurate information as the root reason for the current situation.

Greece, now ruled by an unelected technocrat, is the first casualty of the suspension of democracy as we have come to know it, and the first country to fall victim to what can only be described as a hostile takeover. As described by Naomi Klein in “The Shock Doctrine”, this is disaster capitalism in action. As opposed to the simple explanation proffered by the media of this being the result of people just not paying their taxes and allowing their country to come apart at the seams, this is, in fact, ultimately all about the imminent expropriation by big business and vested interests of Greece’s national resources. http://bellacaledonia.org.uk/2012/02/13/disaster-capitalism-in-action-in-europe/

Shock Doctrine continues - unabated.

Ya, I love it when we play ideology games on the forum.

I mean after all, the red shirt guy has spoken.

The trained parrot? Useless shill. Repeats spewed shit endlessly - even after getting soundly shutdown ( repeatedly ).

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Yep. I'm looking forward to the pms.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Ah yes the private whining of the red shirted parrot. It is funny that it still does that.

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Ya, and we have one thread on the miracle of capitalism and one thread on destroying it. How cool is that?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Funny how that happens - the need for the end of crapitalism - clearly explained. Then the BS of crapitalism propaganda. Quite funny.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Ya, I get a kick out of it.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Do you think it will try showing us a commercial for clean coal now?

Helps save on those pesky wintertime heating bills - also handy for a Bar-B-Que over the sink or a pig roast in the bath tub.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Maybe. Oh, and one for the benefits of corn syrup.

Have you been to Greece?

[-] -2 points by Perfectcast (-168) 11 years ago

Is it against the silly stinkle rules to answer a direct question. Have you been to Greece?

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Not relevant. Stop trying to change the subject. However, if you must know, I qualify for dual citizenship right next door.

I was in greece , years ago. At the athens airport,...........( athens the capital city) no toilet seats in the bathrooms. We were having coffee waiting for our flight when we heard a PA announcement " will the delta crew please get to their aircraft so they can take off" we flew another airline, and it was the last plane out that day ( and for sometime) they airport workers went on strike.

[-] -2 points by Perfectcast (-168) 11 years ago

Athens is a sewer. Graffitti everywhere. It's ok to be poor but not ok to vandalize.

Greeks are filthy and lazy. I was there 2 years ago. Awful, awful country.

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

FASCISM is destroying Europe and America not socialism. I am an anti-fascist libertarian socialist.

It's an easy choice if you're brainwashed into believing that. I suppose you trust all your teachers and textbooks without criticism. Pawn.
