When I was 18, I voted for Ralph Nader (2000 election). I thought both parties were somewhat corrupt and I wanted to vote for who I really wanted, also I didn't live in a swing state so I felt my vote was "safe."
While watching Bush do his best to destroy the country, I started feeling a little bit guilty. He scared me, and as such I voted Kerry in 2004 and Obama in 2008.
I'm certainly not voting for Obama again and I can tell you that my vote for Nader in 2000 was definitely the right thing to do. We need to find a way to break the stranglehold of corrupt two-party politics and I will never again vote for a person who I know will sell me out.
Ok, I can see that. Ty BeefyBear
Just how were u sold out?
And you think that the republicans are different. They want to take freedom away from people because it does not hold up to the teachings of the bible. I have listend to the debts and am very afraid for my country no matter who gets elected.
May be he is not saying they are better. Just that Dems should not get a free pass. They are just as wrong as the GOP.
