While it is true that pure communism has never existed, pure democracy has not existed either. Our current form of government has been corrupted by unfettered capitalism and greed. The current form capitalism demands a certain level of poverty. If everyone had a well paying job, a loaf of bread would cost $100 dollars. Capitalism NEEDS poverty, crime, illness, and parts of society to remain illiterate, uneducated and docile in order to survive. I am not suggesting that capitalism is itself evil...but it relies on the honesty of those who practice it. The one question remains...how do we protect ourselves from greedy and corrupt capitalists?
Democracy where $$ by legislation and policy is called - FASCISM.
Give everyone the right to vote on bills being passed on the political floor for starters. Your comment is a bit troubling to most people as they become self aware of this revelation it defintely promotes a feeling of helplessness at first. Choose your battles wisely and don't forget most people are relatively honest. In fact not all of the rich are part of the problem. They have funded and created many wonderful things as philanthropist. Guilt is a heavy hitter. The American Revolution is a great example in the context of your message. A lot of people are just fine with mediocraty. Unfortunately a lot of people can't even get to that point.
You probably will find this article interesting: http://www.awakeningblog.com/what-is-democracy.html
It is all very simple. There is no need to reinvent the wheel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IbODJiEM5A
Buy land and plant gardens. Buy gardens for your friends and family. If you are a government allocate gardens for people.
Support our petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/SoLMag/petition.html
Learn from nature and elect people with a family food garden only. 1 hectare 1 family. Control your local government http://www.spaceoflovemagazine.com/images/SOL_10_pages40_41.pdf
Occupy your motherland!
How do we protect ourselves from greedy and corrupt capitalists? By starting our own banks to double the income of the Bottom 99% of Workers, for many more people will come to your side when you are proactive (for “new” Business & Government solutions), instead of reactive (against “old” Business & Government solutions), which is why what we most immediately need is a comprehensive “new” strategy that implements all our various socioeconomic demands at the same time, regardless of party, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 1% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves, and thus doubling our income from Bank Profits which are 40% of all Corporate Profits; that is, using a Focused Direct Democracy organized according to our current Occupations & Generations. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategically Weighted Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

Join http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/ because we need 100,000 “support clicks” at AmericansElect.org in support of the above bank-focused platform.
Most importantly, remember, as cited in the first link, that as Bank Owner-Voters in your 1 of 48 "new" Business Investment Groups (or "new" Congressional Committees) you become the "new" Online Congress, and related “new” Businesses, REPLACING the "old" Congress, and related “old” Businesses, according to your current Occupations & Generations, called a Focused Direct Democracy.
Therefore, any Candidate (or Leader) therein, regardless of party, is a straw man, a puppet, a political opportunist, just like today; what's important is the STRATEGY – the sequence of steps – that the people organize themselves under in Military Internet Formation of their Individual Purchasing Power & Group Investment Power. In this, sequence is key, and if the correct mathematical sequence is followed then it results in doubling the income of the Bottom 99% of Workers from today's Bank Profits, which are 40% of all Corporate Profits.
Why? Because there are Natural Social Laws – in mathematical sequence – that are just like Natural Physical Laws, such as the Law of Gravity. You must follow those Natural Social Laws or the result will be Injustice, War, etc.
The FIRST step in Natural Social Law is to CONTROL the Banks as Bank Owner-Voters. If you do not, you will inevitably be UNJUSTLY EXPLOITED by the Top 1% Management System of Business & Government who have a Legitimate Profit Motive, just like you, to do so.
Consequently, you have no choice but to become Candidates (or Leaders) yourselves as Bank Owner-Voters according to your current Occupations & Generations.
So JOIN the 2nd link, and spread the word, so we can make 100,000 support clicks at AmericansElect.org when called for, at exactly the right time, by an e-mail from that group, in support of the above the bank-focused platform. If so, then you will see and feel how your goals can be accomplished within the above strategy as a “new” Candidate (or Leader) of your current Occupation & Generation.
PROTESTORS ARE WELCOME!!!
As I sit and look out my window, I notice that neither of my neighbors have any leaves on their laws. This really is unfair! Our lawn is overgrown and covered with leaves and fallen twigs.
The one neighbor has a service that she pays to keep her lawn nicely trimmed and cleaned, the other does it herself, and she works real hard at it as well. I am sure this saves her the monies that my other neighbor pays. In fact, she is out there now, doing the work herself. I assume she will take the money she saves by using her hard work and use it to better her life and to her advantage, because she will either save it so that she has a better retirement, or use for another reason to satisfy her life. Either way, I do not benefit - unfair! I think I am entitled to have a nice lawn as well. I suggested to both of them that we work together, and so that I can benefit from the ones hard work, and the others payment for services out. I figure, that the one that does it herself should split the work time in half. She should spend one half of the three to four hours per week she usually works in her yard on my yard, and the neighbor that pays a service fee for the service certainly has life to easy, so she should divide her bill in exactly half, and then have her service company only spend half the time on her lawn and the other half of the time on mine. By doing it this way, it will be more equal, I will get what I want, and they will pay for me to get that. They seem to disagree with me, so please..... come protest on their lawns. Bring your jackets, it is cold and wet here. Thank you friends.
Do not need many people, just a couple of hundred should over load my emergency services, stop the neighborhood traffic, prevent the emergency personal from getting through, and it should prevent the school-bus from getting the children to free public school. Please come help me with this, I will keep the coffee flowing!
The average joe cannot influence the Federal Government, but the large corporation can. That is why government power needs to go back to the states where the average joe has influence.
Well it shows you were educated in a Public school. We are not a Democracy but a Republic. I will give you a hint: And to the Republic for which we stand one nation under God. Dumb ass.
You are arguing semantics. Call it what you will...the substance of what I wrote remains true. But I guess you have nothing to retort with...and so you turn to semantics...very convenient.
Since the beginning of civilization there has been poor people and rich people. To think that will ever change is naive. What people should do is look at how much better those in poverty live now than they have in the past. In the US, if you are poor you are more likely to be obese, a clear indication that food is not an issue. The poor also have cable for their large screen tvs, computers and internet access, cell phones, often even cars. They have come a long way since living in a cardboard box.
Things have never been "fair" and they never will.
Sorry...your post was just silly. Total nonsense.
Again...there is no substance in your reply...why don't you demonstrate that superior mind of yours and say something worth reading.
Pure democracy hasn't existed because it is a terrible system.
