Global warming is a great concern of mine. It is probably the most egregious example of corporate control over public policy.
We need to move towards alternative sources of energy. People could make alternative energy installations. We have loaned a lot of money to keep the financial system afloat. Can we loan some money to the regular people? They can keep paying back with the energy they produce for the next 50 years.
Don't touch the oil people, they'll mess you up! too much power invested in oil still, both in the country and outside (notice we are willing to go to war for oil). that would require a complete collapse of our political system. oh, btw, I though we could put people that are in jail on energy generating bicycles for 6 hrs per day to produce energy... at least I'd feel that I am putting some tax $ to work
Time to get money out of politics on both sides of the aisle and fix our corrupt and bought out trade, tax and banking system. http://www.getmoneyout.com/

here's a stimulus we can all get behind

Ok problem with the Government doing this is it can't.
I'm all for it.
oh like how the tax payer gave $500 million to Solyndra to develop solar energy and they lost it all? that's cool.
Solyndra is an example of supply-side stimulus. The government should not pick winners and losers. If we want to stimulate the solar energy sector, support the people who want to make installations.
