Forum Post: Demand Roemer be allowed in debates, support IDEA, not person

In all honesty, I think Buddy Roemer is the last shot this country has. But the only way he is going to get any traction, is by some extraordinary support, such as from an extraordinary movement like OWS. But to stay true to the occupy movement, only support the IDEA that exceptionally well qualified candidates should have shot at debates.
My two cents, make of it what you will. Jesse

Besides the personal slandering of him, those are good points gawdoftruth. But wouldn't you agree that the first order of business for this country should be reestablishing a fair and functioning government and electorial system? That sounds like what this guy is all about.

If some of his specific policies are bad, elect someone else in four years. But at least everything will hopefully be in working order again if this I believe truly honest man has his way.

It's just like the occupy movement, that is focusing on the underlying dysfunctions, rather than specific trigger word issues that just leads to societal gridlock at the moment. Get society, get government, back on it's feet first, before dealing with more specifics. Again, just two cents.

Thanks for the link, I'll look into what you said.

Huh, that's interesting. I guess generally that's the main point Roemer is making (and why he is being shut out of debates). The freely flowing money in campaigns is out of control :-/

hes another moron fool wingnut right wing fool, whos pro corporation so bad hes saying theres such a thing as clean coal. there isn't. And we need to get off oil and coal and get on geothermal and solar and wind.

In short i can not support a stupid ignorant wingnut for president. Reading his platform positions is enlightening. Hes certainly above the cut for a republican... but his ideas are too simple, too generic, and too partisan, as well as too frankly patently ignorant to actually be good for this country.
