I am in total support of Occupy Wall Street but my concern is that the movement needs focus on a message that should resonate with all walks of society. Our financial system has been hijacked by a criminal element that is protected by the very institutions that are supposed to protect all of us, whether it be the SEC, FINRA or even our own Government. There is a lot of information on Deepcapture.com that may shock a lot of people. There is a massive fraud through "Naked Shorting" being perpetuated in our markets everyday and there is no one stopping this insidious crime that is running rampant in our markets. Do yourself a favor and spend some time reading up on what's really wrong with Wall Street.....

This should make any one with a sense of right and wrong very angry.

Exactly. I'm a 1%'er from the financial industry (20 years), and I can tell you it's a scam to GET AWAY WITH AS MUCH AS THEY'LL (i.e. the regulators, and the public) LET YOU GET AWAY WITH.

The cops on the beat (SEC, FINRA, etc.) are in bed with the financial industry.

Reports have leaked out of the SEC (regarding illegalities at the AMEX option exchange against the public - for years), and the public STILL hasn't got a dime in compensation - even when internal SEC documents reveal fraud.

Perhaps worst of all, the SEC just allowed the destruction of past investigations regarding Wall Street (see Matt Tiabbi's fine work at the Rolling Stone).

Oh, one more thing - a previous Goldman Sachs partner quit, changed his name, and resurfaced as a staffer in Darrell Issa's office in Washington D.C., to have more direct access to the changes coming in the derivatives trading rulebooks! You can Google it! He was Peter Simonyi, now he almost escaped notice as "Peter Haller"!

This is EXACTLY the type of finance-government inbreeding that we are protesting. Business-government goes in a room, locks the door, and when they come out, the rulebook benefits themselves at the expense of the public.

ALWAYS watch what they do with the RULEBOOKS.

Not looking to hijack anything. I just think there is a wealth of information found on Deepcapture that compliments what this movement is about.

there are a wealth of very balievable materials on the net, more so if you are new to the mix of economics and politics. most of those sites take truth and spin it in every direction, not left, not right, just spin. the reason is to get people angry and confused so they are ripe for rebellion, then one or a few of the material providers takes the helm and bam, manufactured movement. that... that is one of those site, much like how the tea party got started- then hijacked.

Isn't the govt doing the same? Aren't the media doing the same? You cannot just go ahead and eat the whole banana. you need to peel off the skin first. Get the truth out of it.

dude i been peel'n this banana for 15 years. the source of the fire is wallstreet and apparently that knowledge isn't exclusive to me.

Totally in support. These people control the banks. The govt is just a puppet in their hands.

I'm well aware of what's available online and I've have been predicting an OWS movement especially after the financial meltdown of 2008 came and went without real reform or our financial system taking place. There is a real criminal element that our regulators continue to ignore even to this day and I think Deepcapture is just a great source of information that only serves educate everyone that wants to be a part of this terrific movement.

if you fix the system with balance, they have no power, GoD hasn't any of you ever put out a fire. F*

You don't impress me at all with your condescending remarks. As a matter of fact you don't know chit.

[-] 1 points by RichardGates (1529) 13 years ago

i'm not here for your effect homie. post a point of view that can be debated or jerk off.

[-] 1 points by sud270602 (6) 13 years ago

Totally agree. Absolutely nothing happened after the meltdown other than the govt donating millions of public dollars in bailouts only to protect their personal relationships with the money launderers leaving the common man penniless and out of options.

[-] 1 points by sud270602 (6) 13 years ago

I agree.

the funny thing you trolls miss is the fact that this protest is at WallStreet. stop trying to redirect. just cause your tea got bitter don't expect you can hijack another movement. you had you turn not sit down.

[-] 1 points by sud270602 (6) 13 years ago

No offense but people should know what they are up against otherwise they will just become a pack of howling wolves.

[-] 1 points by eziomon (11) 13 years ago

Thanks. Somewhat odd response by RichardGates. I posted what I think should help the movement. I wonder if he even looked at the link.

Nice find. Gives us the idea what actual picture is and what we are made to believe. This information should be propagated to each and every individual who care about humanity.

Naked Shorting is a fraud that is being perpetuated on a massive scale on the unsuspecting public. I suggest watching this new story to get a sense of what I'm talking about. It is one of the first stories by a main stream media outlet (Bloomberg) that finally came out after so many years of denial by Wall Street that this is happening in our markets...
