Forum Post: DEEPAK CHOPRA finally utters the words "SOCIAL JUSTICE" and does NOT turn to stone!

Popular spiritual teacher Deepak Chopra, often interviewed on "Larry King", published in 2008 a 241-page book on Jesus where he accomplished the amazing feat of never once uttering the words “social justice”, even though that is undoubtedly one of the FOCAL POINTS of Rabbi Yeshua’s teachings, as of ALL the great Jewish Prophets before him.

In contemporary America, "social justice" seems to have become a dirty word, just like "vagina" or "masturbation" in the fifties.

Well, just last week, Deepak Chopra began to redeem himself by finally uttering the words... And he chose to do it on occupied Wall Street! Granted, he wrapped them in a whole lot of other words, but at least he SAID them, he even spoke - for the very first time, to my knowledge - of "economic empowerment of the poor", so iit IS a start:

“We need to create a whole culture of social enterpreneurship, an enterpreneurship that is based on sustainability, on SOCIAL JUSTICE, on ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF THE POOR and on love and compassion and going after the basic ideas of truth, goodness, beauty, harmony and evolution.”

Despite being a long-time supporter of President Obama, Chopra expressed disappointment in Obama’s "actions", even going so far as to exclaim: “OBAMA IS SURROUNDED BY MAFIA!”

Hopefully, Chopra will remain as candid and honest in the coming months. This country is in a MAJOR CRISIS and we need everyone's help to dig ourselves out of this black hole.

What a contrast with that other "guru du jour", Eckhart Tolle, who shares Oprah's wide-eyed reverence for Obama and maintained as recently as the end of 2010 that "Obama is conscious". Apparently, he is counting on this President to lead the way to "a new earth"!
