Looks like Obama the bomber made up his mind. He wants to start bombing Syria real soon.
On the day the U.S.A. starts bombing Syria, we should take a day from work or whatever else we are doing, and recognize that day as a day of mourning. I certainly will.
Maybe gather at national cemeteries and lay down on the graves of fallen soldiers. Perhaps make note that for every one ( 1 ) US soldier in the cemetery - that that also represents about 1 soldier to 10 civilian deaths ( or more - 100? ) in the foreign country of conflict? Place oil bottles around the dead.
....and let us remember fly our flags at half staff.
How about fly the oil bottles at half staff?
Might stain the flag. But then again that would be symbolic.

Apropos - considering the flag "is" deeply stained. It is then appropriate. No?
It won't be a sad day for Americans who welcome any and all opportunities to take on more debt and sacrifice more military personnel...for Israelis, who will benefit immensely.Maybe if Americans would remember the USS Liberty they would understand that Israel is a nation that has no allies and no friends, because to have an ally, you must BE an ally, and to have a friend, you must BE a friend. The Occupied Territories and Gaza are oozing, dripping, running sores, and the Israelis plan to expand that situation as far and wide as they can.God forbid.
When the U.S.A. starts bombing Syria it will be interesting to see how many missiles will be flying onto Tel Aviv and the rest of Israel. Every good Israeli ought recognize the nonsense in having the U.S. attack Syria. How lucky do they feel about that supposed missile shield holding? Good Israelis need to start chucking that fascist government over there, and fast.
I wonder if any of those Iranian subs sitting at the bottom of the Med' will be firing their hypersonic torpedos which can knock the island house off the top of a U.S. air craft carrier.

Most true. Congressional approval will not moralize or even legitimize what would be a killing spree.
One good about this Congressional approval thing is at least it adverts an immediate strike (although Obama may have backed down from an immediate strike for other reasons beyond our knowledge). Anyway it buys time to hopefully stop a U.S. propagated massacre of yet another Middle-east country. The "Audacity of hope" one might say.
I just heard Obama agreed to seek Congressional approval before going to war. Step in the right direction. That buys some time. I'm tickled that the Congressman who drafted the letter asking Obama to first seek Congressional approval, Scott Rigell, is the Congressman in my district. I wrote him a big letter as many other people did too. I stand corrected. Maybe democracy does work? Now we need to work that Congress tells the Prez no to war.
The military is pushing this now because they know congress is on vacation. They want Obama to pull a Clinton/Kosovo.
Well you know, going to war with Syria without Congressional approval is illegal. Yeah, I know, nowadays legality is meaningless in DC.

I'd really like to understand how we can render aid and comfort to the sworn enemies of the USA (AQ, et al). Can't Obama be arrested for treason once he gives the military the order to attack Syria? Or have we signed a treaty w AQ and released all the pow's at GITMO and I somehow missed it?
More like somebody ought arrest Obama for war crimes.
