The Daily Show is doing a "position piece" on OWS and is looking for someone to interview.
I do not claim to represent the show, just passing the information along (through a friend who works in NY media).
I would suggest ONLY using someone who: 1) can CLEARLY and SUCCINTLY can articulate the movemennt's stance, 2) can calmly/rationally handle and "hardball" questions, and 3) can actually make it to the taping. There may be a "pre-screen," too.
You could probably go incognito if you want, but I cannot say for certain. Nor do I know the intent of the piece. I can't do it because of the nature of the business I am in and I can't jeopardize my job.
Call Allie (212) 586-2477
When and where would the taping be?
Perhaps today, but more likely early next week - probably depending on any weekend news and the news cycle. I just agreed to pass it along.
I might be able to do it, although I'm at school in Cambridge, MA right now.
I would love to do this. I doubt Fortune will give me the chance. ;)
Again, I don't know all of the details of this specific production - or even if it has to be done in person or could be done over the phone (or via a local tv affiliate).
It's on!
Who was the big winner? I didn't pass the pre-screen apparently.
Maybe an OWS person can also host Saturday Nigh Live!
Stewart would likely be the most sympathetic talk show.
Why not Jesse LaGreca?
That freak?
I'd go, but my clothes are clean.
I think Glen Beck is looking for some people, too! Ha!
Maybe we should all just go in person if he is that interested.
I'd call first, seriously.
Maybe they will pick you up in a limo!
where is the studio?
Michael Moore!
Maybe tone down the "temperature check" and "block" and other hand sign BS.
what does that mean?
