See the HuffPost -

They have a great pair of photo's overlapped, and you can mouse-over to view before and after the melt; there is also a time lapse video depicting the melt. Finally, there is a slideshow documenting some of the effects of Global Warming.

The sum of this single page provides a very nice snapshot of the latest on Global Warming, and all of you deniers need not bother to review, simply because it is now quite obvious

I think they know damn well but want to get as much money out of it as they can and then they worry about panic.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Could be they are trying to get people used to the idea. When it happens - apathy - ' yeah they been sayin that would happen and looky-thar it did. Damn - now if only it was drinkable '

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I think they know that it is happening much faster then they are currently professing. I don't think they are prepared for that. I don't think they have any idea how to contend with the extremity in weather. In fact, I'm not so sure that they can predict as much as they pretend.

Well they themselves ( climate scientists ) said that they were woefully late on considering synergistic effects - and now - JOY - we got all this methane from fracking leakage to add in along with.

Which makes fighting it so much more fun.

Cause one of these days the unexpected unpredictable SHIT will hit the fan again and again and again. Hey are you enjoying a fine fall week? Temps here went from free sidewalk bar-b-Que just bring ur tongs and a piece of meat, oh and don't stand in one place too long - to a high of 60 degrees ( one day this week ) and other days not much higher. Last week and a half of July - hmmmmmmmmmm

[-] 0 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Yeah, we had several days where the temps dropped. It was supposed to drop to a 40 overnight one night this past week.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

We had frost warnings in Northern Minnesota.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Denial. Scientists were paid, elected officials got paid.

Oh the assholes with power influence and money - that have been fucking over the whole world. Gotcha. It would be nice to definitely know that their tender bits will take a beating in their own private hells.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

One could only hope.

haha... as if human beings could ever contain the force of the cosmos; we need to get over ourselves.

That is quite astounding. You speak with a frankness combined with kindness that is a real refreshing change from the regular run of environmental alarmism that seems to run rampant here. I would seriously consider voting for you if you ran for NYC mayor, provided that I never have to hear of you texting your schlong.

Who are the people you speak of? Those who accept money from Wall St and Big Oil to get re-elected to the fancy club?

One group doesnt want to admit it, the other wants to take your money to "solve" it.

I dont want anything to do with either of those proposals.

The bailouts your people approved could have put a solar system unit on every single house in the USA.

hmmm... who's approving the past 700 billion since November 2012?

Wrong on teh one that got it all started too:

If you guys are going to back any of these disasters, you had better at least admit that when given the chance, they do nothing you want them to.

Whats next, a rerun of your opinion on the Monsanto Protection Act... "They didnt have enough time to reeeeeead thaaaaaa biiiiiiiiillllll. "

Come on man, these guys ALL suck.

Principles instead of parties will end this kind of argument. The ones perpetuating the problem love it when this kind of disagreement happens.

Have either of you how to use your common principle to get what you need? Maybe there is an inundation of sensation of issue burning what could carry your common, quality principle to manifestation.

Now it was neccesary to bail out the banks?

What about QE1, 2, 3 and the current near 100billion per month?

Let me guess, someone has to have the guts to do it?

See, you can go around threatening to kill this person, and decapitate that one, based off of feelings and promises by talking heads, but the facts are the facts.

And the facts clearly show what is going on.

"removing your head with a dull and rusty blade would be a pleasure . . "

THis combined with this is perfect: "....The initial bailout of the banking system....was indeed necessary...."

See folks, its the deranged that DO run the country.

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

It was a good thing any aid package had been approved before OH-Bummer took office the 1st time as the corpoRATists ( sometimes referred to as republicans in office ) would have stone walled that too - though likely as they would have felt the package did not go far enough with the gravy train - unfortunately it was a benefit package for the criminals.

[-] 1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

Nope, its been going on for the last 6 years, no end in sight.

QE1, QE2, Twist, and not QE Infinity (most would just call it what it is- robbing the public in broad daylight, with no end in sight).

Guess what happens to government and markets when they are 100% dependent on thieving?

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Societies last and thrive when they operate to the benefit of "ALL" the PEOPLE. Societies are replaced/fail as they abuse their people. Most societies struggle to last 200 years - the USA just got past that milestone - but if government and business do not get back to reality - I do not see the USA surviving much longer.
