For all the time humans have existed, we've needed food and clean water. As we migrated out of equatorial regions, clothing and shelter became necessary to preserve life and allow its continuation. Fire for warmth, cooking and other uses allowed us to live more comfortably and move farther from the tropics.
We have always been social animals that live in groups. We have always cooperated to produce the things we need to sustain our lives. We still do, though our organization must look much different than it did in the time before original sin. That would be the time of hunter gatherers. There was an era before men had discovered the knowledge of the evil of slavery and the concentration of wealth it facilitates. We're far beyond that now.
How did our communities devolve to a collection of individual cells that must interact to produce the stuff of life but are forbidden to distribute the produce cooperatively for the common good? Instead, we exist as a battery matrix of an American Dream that energizes the Capitalist pyramid scheme. The imposition of a black hole of perversely designed Weltanschauung facilitates the concentration of wealth today.
The oligarchy of billionaires and their minions, including all the wholly owned levels of U.S. Government, either possess or hold the mortgages on everything. Wall St. wealth bubble growth is directly proportional to the growth of our individual and collective debt. A remedy for the constant dissipation and inevitable collapse of the capitalist economy is implicit in the preceding sentences and paragraphs.
The upcoming 1.9T stimulus, while a much needed anodyne, is not a solution for the systemic economic pain that threatens the survival of the human race.
